Whose to blame....?

On the evacuation of the stranded evacues, should most of the blame be on the failure of a plan to evacuate all the citiizens before the hurrican or on the why it to took so long to evacuate after the flood?

  • I think that the blame should be on the plan to evacuate. It is not the governments fault. It is the governers fault. She would not let the government help.It was about 3 days when she let them come in and help. That is why I think the blame should be on the plan.

  • I think the blame should be on the plan to evacuate all the people before the the hurricane. The people knew that the hurricane was coming. They had no governer to tell them what to do. She didn't do anything that would help the people. She should have been there to help her people, all she thought about was herself. She didn't want Bush to help becase he is a republican. The blame should have been on the plane and the help to evacuate.

  • I think most of the blame should be on the local Government in New Orleans for the failure of a plan to evacuate all the citizens before the hurricane. The reason why is they knew a hurricane was going to hit the coast and they knew it. I know that they can guess 24 hours ahead of where the hurricane will go. I also think that the US was not prepared for a natural disater because they are sending food and water to Iraq. It took so long to evacuate after the flood because a lot of the army is in Iraq too.

  • Well, they had plenty of time to evacuate but they stayed behind. Plus the governor knew that they had all those busses, but they chose not to use them. They waited 3 days to get help so the governor is to blame.

  • Well, I think that the blame should be on both the governor and the plan to evacuate. The governor did nothing to help the people get out of the town and then she just sat around and waited for three days. The people knew that the hurricane was coming ,yet, they did nothing to help themselves either. They did not use the buses that were available to get out of danger. If I were there I would tell them to be my guest and stay, and then I would go to Tennessee and stay with my relatives.

  • I personally think the mayor and the State Senator are to blame, because it is their responsibility to make sure everyone is safe. They also would not let Bush into Louisiana to help evacuate those people. I believe the reason for not letting Bush in to help is because he is a republican and they are democrats ( why would they worry about being on a republican's side when so many people are in need of help and safety).
