Transplant ethics

There are more than 53,000 people in the United States waiting for organ transplants. There are approximately 20,000 organ transplants performed each year in the United States. The average cost of an organ transplant is $120,000.

    I am gonna pick c. I think that it depends on who needs it more. Maybe a younger person would die in 2 days and an older person would die in a month. I think that you would pick the younger one sinve they are gonna die sooner. I think it all depends on the date and how bad their condition is.

  • Anyone who needs a transplant should be able to get one! And if a older person needs a transplant worse than a younger person than they should get it first. But if they need it the same then the younger person should get it first because the older person will probably die sooner anyway.

  • I think that people should get transplants because they have a medical condition and if a younger person has a worse condition than the older person Yes! they should get the transplant first but if it was reversed then the older person should get it first!
