If the Government was to vs. the use of the publlic library, I would say no.Because if the library was not closed then the people of the city could look at your records and things. Then next thing you know you have a stalker following you.
No, I believe that what you check out of the library should be only your business. If you have an embarrassinig disease, and you don't want to go to go clinic, then you should be able to find out more about it, without everyone knowing. I think that people should have the freedom to look at whatever they want. Then, I also believe that since you are on their computers, then they have the right to know what you are looking at. If you are a suspect in a serious crime, and you check out a book about how to make homemade bombs, then they could catch a mass murderer.
Yes, they should. Many things that go on in the US start at the library such as kids curious in making explosives that end up killing themselves. I watch FBI Files and many shows that deal with crimes and most of them tell us that the research for well planned crimes start in the library. In a decent library you can find archives with blueprints and what not and in this case, may criminals can plan routes into buildings. If the government knew what all we were checking out, then maybe, just maybe, some things can be prevented. Besides, bOu/Bcer91, if you have an embarrassing disease, the government probably knows about it. They have their ways, OTHER THAN THE LIBRARY, to find stuff like that out.
no, the government shouldn't be able to know that stuff. It's none of their buisness. No body goes to their houses and look at everything they have in their living room. So they shouldn't be able to know what library books we check out.
Each day this Jr. High History class is prompted with a Current Event, Amendment, History related or Social issue question that they are to respond to. Each student writes a minimum 5 sentence response in a journal. Some of the best responses have been posted below. Feel free to respond to any of our topics. Just keep it clean. Thanks
