Here comes the judge

According to the Constitution, the President of the United States nominates a person to be a judge. In this case its a supreme court judge. The Senate will confirm or not confirm this person. This is an example of separation of powers. There is only 9 Supreme Court Judges and they keep the job for life.

Why is it such a big deal on who these judge's are?

  • It's a big deal because of their beliefs. If they are republican, they are likely to be against abortion. If they are democrat, then they are likely to be for abortion. The judge they choose will fight for whatever side they are on-democrat or republican. In other words, the President probably would want someone who was Republican, because he is republican also.

  • It's a big deal because of what side the judges are on if they are republican or a democrate because they may be against or with whatever the president is saying.

  • I think it is a big deal because of peoples opions. Some are democratics and some are republicans. Like ugtwirlgirl2010 said republicans are most likely to be against abortion and the democratics will be for! There President is probally going to be for the rebublicans because he is one. He's gonna want somebody is fair and trust worthy.

  • It is such a big deal because if you don't pick the right person for the right job, then that person will do a poor part at what he is doing. If a person is a republican than the republicans will vote for him.

  • Its a big deal because if we dont have good judges we have unworthy concepts considered. If we dont have good judges things like the right to kill children and have a possibility of them actualy feeling pain while having that
abortion happen. If we dont have good judges unatuaral things like homosexuality happen, and if we dont have good judges, good leaders, the basis of our whole system of government,GOD, falls to the ground. It matters so much that our nation has well educated strong judges and I think that people realy need to get a grip on that so our America can grow.

  • It's a very big deal! Because the people are either democratic or republican. They are gonna pick the person that is more like them and they are usually wrong so it could make things worse.
