Why are some students willing to be satisfied being “stuck on stupid?”

  • I think that students are "stuck on stupid" because they think that if they are making a seventy, for instance, then things are okay, but what if the six weeks are up and they are making a sixty-nine, then they are going to be mad at the teacher for failing them, when it was only their fault for being lazy.

  • I think kids are stuck on stupid because they think making barly passing grades is ok.They think that if the have almost all 71's then some 69's that they will pass at the 6 weeks. They're wrong!They are too lazy!

  • I think that people are stuck on stupid because they are to lazy to do their own work. They think that if they ask somebody that they will just give them the answer. I used to wonder how these kind of people make it to the grade they're in but I know now.

  • I think kids are stuck on stupid because they are to lazy to do their work.I mean it's Ok when you dont understand and you have to ask the teacher but not when you dont turn in your papers.I guess they dont realize their whole future or life style depends on the grades they make thruogh Jr. high or Sr. high school. I think they need to come to their scences and wake up THIS IS REAL LIFE ! The kids that are stuck on stupid wont make it unless they get some help from a teacher. ~>BOH<~ cheergirly11

  • Here in Canada a pass is 50%. That's probably why some people are"Stuck On Stupid". I know I'm not me and my friend get like 90%'s. I think people should actually start trying then when they are older they will get a better job. our teach also made a point that we are barely in school. There's 365 days a year we are in school for around 200 and only 6 hours a day not that much. So we should try in school and do our best. PLus there would be nothing to do if we enver had school.

  • One reason is because they are lazy. They think that if they just do the mininum and get sent out of the classroom for acting up that it will be okay. I hear alot of people say that they weren't there for the assignment so they dont have to do it. If they dont have the assignment and their homework then they fail. Alot of kids dont take the time to learn so yes, they are going to be stupid. They aren't thinking about their futures and when they walk into the real world they are going to get a rude awakening!

  • I think that some people are stuck on stupid because they know that it has got them by so far, so they think it will be that way for them in the future. I also believe that they know that in the past other people thought that it was funny, so they don't want to lose the attention they have had and think they could have, so they want to stay "stuck on stupid" for that reason.

  • I think the reason kids are stuck on stupid is because, they dont care. They think that making 60's and 70's is passing. But, it isn't it is failing and some of them might know that but not care. It is their fault not any one elses. Thats what I think being stuck on stupid means.

  • I think kids that are stuck on stupid are lazy and don't care about an education or the "real" world. People who are satisfied with stuck on stupid aren't going to be able to graduate highschool, go to college, get a job, or anything like that. "STUPID" people need to get off their butts when they are watching TV and STUDY!!!

    Is it that hard to capitalize every I in a sentence? All you have to do is hold the shift key down, until you type the letter you are going to capitalize. Coach McCaw, here is an example of "stuck on stupid."

  • I think that students are stuck on stupid because they think .... WAIT! They don't think that is why they are stuck on stupid. Some of them think they are being cute and funny but they are actually real annoying and sometimes a nusiance.
    They think being sent outside is fun and they act like they are big and bad when they are STUPID showoffs.

  • To anonymous: I understand how you feel about not capitalizing and having the right punctuation (Such as using "u" instead of spelling out You), but I think that you should only use that when you talking with friend online, such as AOL or Yahoo. This is a public blog however, so what you write and how you write it gives an opinion to everyone about you.

  • They might be stuck on stupid because they just might not like the subject or the teacher. I don't like some teachers and i am very bad at one subject and it is french.Haha i hate it anyway but i still try on it. Some people are just to lazy to do work to.From Tanner

  • I don't think it is the kids that are satisfied with being stuck on stupid. I think it's the teachers fault a little bit because like my teacher he always makes people fell like they are really bad. By talking about them, or he will be like this is the student that I expext to no to not do there work. You know what I am tying to say. If people are being put down all the time they won't really care about doing it.
