Hes a fake (evacuee)

A person was found to have fabricated (made up) a story about losing his wife and son in the flood in New Orleans. This person pretended to be an evacuee and was receiving financial aid cause of the storm. He was actually living near Tyler. What should happen to this person?

  • I think that the man that was posing as an evacuee should be tried fairly, then if he is proven guilty then he should do community service untill he pays of the money that he recieved in donations. Then he should go to jail for lying about who he was and for lying about his life for 10 years, then should have to do work for the people.

  • I think the person that fabricated the story about losing his wife and child in the hurricane should go to jail. It is not right to cheat people out of their money that they worked hard for. He should go to jail for at least 20 years for what he has done. He lied to a lot of people and made them think that he lost his family in the hurricane.

  • First of he should be prosecuted for fraude. I think that the fake evacuee is someone who wants some attention, becuse he could of not gotten much attention when he was a child. He should at least go to jail for 10 years.

  • I think he should be put in jail. He is taking the items that the evacuees need. He is stealing from the evacuees.

  • I think he should be sentenced to serving the hurricane victims and any future hurricane victims. This way, he can actually see what it's like to be in a hurricane and deal with all the devastation. In the time when there is no hurricane evacuees in need, then he should be sent to jail. He shouldn't be aloud to go outside or anything. He should just sit there in jail, with absolutely nothing to do.

  • The person that fabaricated that story was getting money from the goverment. He should go to jail for using goverment funding to build a house. Its worng to make up a story to get money. Because the people that really were in the storm need it more.

  • This man should be put in jail because that is fraud. He is basically stealing from the poor and homeless people just to get what he wants. Why would you lie about losing your wife and son that is just sick. I mean aren't you supposed to make vows when you you get married. This man is one CRAZY FOOL. He should have to work for comminuty service and help get those people he stole from get back on their feet. This is what I think should to that man.

  • I can't believe a person would impersonate an evacuee. I saw the man on tv and he didn't seem right in the head, but he had to be somewhat there to come up with a story like that. I believe that he should be sent to jail, but frog heaven14 is over doing it just a little. I admit that what he did was wrong, but 12 years should be fair punishiment.

  • I think he should be put in jail for stealing from the government and from the evacuees. He should be forced to pay fines for all the money he stole.

  • I think he should go to jail for 5 years, then do community service until he pays all the money he owes off. People who lie to get money have to pay the consequinces.
He stole from the REAL evaquees.
