If I was forced to evacuate my home, I would take my bible because I believe that God will watch over me as I am being evacuated. I would pray everyday that I will still have a home when I return. I think God will be with the evacuees that are having trouble.
If I was being forced to evacuate my house,I would take my cell phone and my charger. The only reason I would take my cell phone and the charger is to get in touch with my friends and stuff. But incase of emergency I would have it also.
If i had to evacuate,i would probably take my four wheeler. It would be my choice, because it is like too expensive to let be destroyed. I wouldnt have to ride it, but the more important thing is that I have it, nor would i have to have gas,bec it wouldnt be in use.
If I could only take one thing, I would take my bible. I would take my bible because that, to me, is the most valuable thing I own. Sure, churches from around the area may bring bibles, but they might not bring enough for all the evacuees. And besides, it just wouldn't be the same as mine. Also, it wouldn't have all the sermon notes and various things written in my bible. This way, I could keep up with my studies. And as you can probably tell, that is very important to me.
If I were forced to take one item with me...I would take my purse, because you can put like your Bible, cell phone, cell phone charger, and ext. Another reason I would take my purse is because its easy to cary around and I wouldn't have anything slowing me down if we had to get away fast.
If I had to evacuate my home I would take my 308 (a gun) because, if I was stranded I would go hunting and get food. The stock of my gun opens up and I could store my bible, sandwich, and bullets.
If I were forced to only take one item with me I would take my skate bag, because I have had my skate bag since I was seven and it is very important to me. If I did not take my skates with me and somthing happend to them than I would not be able to train or skate my important compititions like regions, nationals, or worlds. Another reason I would take my skates is: ever since I was little all I have done is skate. So if I did not have them I would be very sad.
If I was forced to evacuate my home, the one item I would take is my photo album. People say that a picture is worth a thousand words and that is so true. My photo album holds so many memories of things that happen only once in a life time. A picture holds the good and the bad things in life. You can always buy new make-up, toys, or furniture later, but you can never replace a memory.
If I was forced to leave my home I would take my girl bag. My girl bag has my straightner, curlingiron, makeup, and hairbrush. You can buy new clothes and other stuff, but,you need all of that stuff. That's what I would take.
If I had to take only one thing, I would take my Xbox and all my games to the xbox. The reason I would take my Xbox is because Madden 06 is my most valuable game. I also enjoy playing online. Because it's a Taste of what it"s like in the pros because foo I'm going to the pros.
If I had to evacuate my house,I would bring my xbox. First,it cost way to much money to just let get ruined and most likely be swept away. Plus,I don't want to be bored while I'm homeless. Even if I don't have a t.v. I'll just go buy a new t.v. that's portable or something.
If I had to evecuate my house I would definitly have to take my straightner.I have to have my hair looking good. I can't stand to not have my hair not straight. It just looks dumb. I'm in love with my hair. Just not as much as I am in love with my dog Bruiser.
If I was forced from my home I would take my four wheeler becuase it would be a way of transportation and a way to go and get food and other sources of geting stuff. I would also bring it to ride it around and laugh at people who didnt bring their four wheeler it would be hilarious
If I was forced to evacuate my home, I would take my pictures. well you know what they say, pictures are worth a thousand words. which they are, everything else is replacible, but pictures are not.
Hey Mystery Grover, Thanks for your contributions to our blog. I saw your post on another topic. One of my high school students said that this was the hardest for her to answer.
If I was forced to evacuate my house and take one thing I would take my BIBLE.Because I could pray to my God and ask him for help.I could preach it to other people. People might take other fancy stuff like an xbox or their cell phone, but I would take my Bible.
If I was forced to evacuate fom my home,I would take my t-shirt aughtorgraphed by all-star soccer player MIA HAMM. The reason that I would take this item is because soccer is my favorite sport, and I would like to play in the womens national league just as she did, that would be my dream come true. Also why else would I have climbed through tons of bleachers just to get her signature?
If me and my family were forced to evacuate from our home i would bring my 72 hour kit. A seventy-two hour kit is something that the leader of my church (mormon church) told us to do in case of an emergency. I would want to take my clothes, pets, CDs, and alot of other things, but you can always replace those things but you can neer replace your life. A 72 hour kit has ponchos, sacks, a cooker to cook food with, food, water, socks, medicine, soap, shampoo, rags, tooth brush, etc. My family all has one, the 72 hour kit is supposed to keep you alive for at least 72 hours, and keep you safe. I will always keep a 72 hour kit handy in case of an evacuation emergency or a tornado emergency or any emergency.
I think that many people are very naive when they say that they would take materialistic things like makeup, straighteners, cell phone, etc. You DO NOT need any of that! I don't think that I would take anything but my social security or ID card. The least of your worries if you're an evacuee is picking up guys or looking good!
There are many sorts of things that people would take like a gun or a cell phone. If you really think about it, those things are no good. If you are going to take something it might as well be usefull to you. I would take my purse. It contains my wallet, maybe some money, ID cards and credit cards that would be usefull to me. I know that people would say that I was stuck up and all I care about is my purse, but it would be really important if I was or anyone in my family was to get hurt. I could put food and things in it, so that's why I would take my purse.
hey hieveryone!! You shouldn't say ugtwirlgirl shouldn't say her Bible!! Maybe she reads it she just see's it at a different way!! Did you ever think of that?
To hieveryone: I DO read my bible! I know that, my friends know that, my church knows that, and GOD knows that! You don't even know me, so you have NO right to say that!
Each day this Jr. High History class is prompted with a Current Event, Amendment, History related or Social issue question that they are to respond to. Each student writes a minimum 5 sentence response in a journal. Some of the best responses have been posted below. Feel free to respond to any of our topics. Just keep it clean. Thanks
