You be the judge... 15 year commits murder

Recently a 15- year old boy took a gun to school and shot several people. One of them died, possibly another may die from wounds.Should the boy be treated as a juvenile or as an adult?

You are the judge what should happen to the 15-year-old boy?

  • If I were a judge, and I had to choose if a 15 yesr old boy should be treated as an adult or a juvenile for shooting someone then I would say an adult. I actually think he should be shot and killed since he killed some people. He should have to die the same way he made them other kids die. It's just not right to take a gun, knife, lighter or any kind of weapon to school. Maybe they should have a check every morning before school...it might be very difficult and hard but at least it might save some peoples life!!

  • I think that he should be treated like an adult because at 15 your old enough to know better. But if he had mental problems then he should be put in an instatution.

  • I think he should be treated as an adult. I think this because in my opinion, 15 is not juvenile. Juvenile to me would be 14 or under. He did something as bad as that he deserves to be treated as an adult. He seems to me like he wants to grow up faster, After all, he did get a gun. If that's what he wants, he can be treated as an adult!

  • I think he should be treated as an adult. He obviosly thought that he was adult enough to bring a gun to school, and kill people! so I think he should have adult consequences!!!

  • I think that he should be tried as an adult. He is by far old enough to know that it is wrong. People that say that they are mental and they need to be put in an insatution are just using an exuse so they dont go to prison for life, or in some states the death penalty

  • My father is in the police officer... (cop) thing.. Soah.. I think compared to what I have been raised to would be serve how ever many years he has been sentenced to. Possibly if still remaining in the jail after he turns I believe an adult (18) he should be released to go to the (adult jail) not juvenile. That is just my personal opinion. comment back!

  • If I were the judge, and i had to choose if a 15 year old boy should be treated as an adult or a child for shooting several people. I would think he should be an adult because they think their cool by bringing a gun to school. I think he should be responsible enough by bringing a gun to school that he should be treated as an adult.

  • I think he should be tried as an adult. He thinks he is an adult be cause he brings a gun to school. They do so much evil in this world.

  • I think he should be treated as an adult. I think he should go to jail. Not get executed. The schools could of prevented it by checking bags and pckets before they go to school. Oh well people will always pay taxes so it won't be any different. He mine as well spend a life in jail. I think he's too young to get executed. He still has a life ahead of him to change and become a good person. Obviously he got raised poorly by his parents. He should go to and institution for a little while then m,aybe he'll get better. Bye.

  • He Should be tested as a(n) adult. Ge should be locked up for life, and he should not be able to on parrol.

  • I think he should be tried as an adult. Just because he is two or three shy of being an adult he did kill someone and he did have a gun. If he is acting like a grown up then should be treated like a grown up. He took someone's life so he should be sentenced to a lifetime in jail. He was stupid enough to take a gun to school but to actually use it is over the line. A juvenile, to me, is about 14 or under.

  • I think he should be tried as a juvenile. He is just a kid. He goes through the lovely pressures of school, chores, popularity, and growing up. I could understand what he did sure he physically killed people, but maybe they mentally killed him. They maybe laughed at him and made fun of him and tolg him nobody liked him that killed him mentally. So, he should be a juvenile.

  • I think that the boy should be tried as an adult. He should be more mature than that to do something like that. If he had mental problems them he should go to an institution or something. He should get about 1000 hours of community service. He also should get a big fine to help pay for the funeral costs for the people he shot and killed. That is why he should be tried as an adult.

  • I think the boy that shot all the people he killed and wounded should be tried as and adult and i think that he should receive the lethal injection or something, because the people he shot probably had a nice life and didnt deeserve to die. Evedently this boy had a horrible life and thought that they didnt deserve to live either, so he should receive the same in return.

  • If I was the judge, he would go to prison for ever. I don't care how old you are if you muder someone you need to go to prison for life. If he was treated as a child then he could go kill again.

  • I think the boy should be treated as an adult. If he would've just took the gun to school then I would just have him do comunity service. But, he killed and shot people so he should be majorly punished.

  • I would think that they would treat him like a adult because if he has the guts to go out with a hand gun to a public place and problably shoot the people that made fun of him, which makes people want to do that because people make other people hate themselves so that is what this big boy has got to say.

  • I think he should be treated like an adult. Any fifteen year-old knows that you don't shoot people. 7 year-olds know that! He doesn't sound like he's very mature for his age if he thinks he can go around shooting people. I say he should go to prison for a while. So maybe that will teach him a lesson.

  • If I were the judge I would send his fifteen year old butt to jail!!! Teenagers are always saying they are practically adults, and I think that they should then deal with the consequences that an adult would have to. Besides they should know better than to murder someone!! If I were their parents I would be so disapointed and angry that my child is going to jail for a long time and they have messed up their life for good!

  • He should be considered an adult because he knewbetter that to murder and he should have thought about the consequences adn obviously he did.It would have been different if he was young enough to not know any better. So in my opinion he should be treated as any adult would be.

  • I think that the 15 year old should be tried as an adult. At his age he knows better and he knows that what he did was wrong. Some of the teenagers in this generation want to be considered as an adult. Well, if they want to be an adult, they should face the adult consequences. If they were slow or mental then that would be different because they might not know what they did wrong. He endangered many lives, killed one person, and ingured one. The worst thing about it is that he did this at a SCHOOL. There are kids at that school that haven't even had a chance at life and some of those kids might want to do something good with their life, but he could have ruined their life to come and their future if he would have shot them.

  • If a 15 year old boy takes a gun to school and kills people he should be treated as an a adult. Something like that is too severe to be treated as Juvinile.

  • The kid should be treated like an adult because once you are 12 you can be charged and 15 is 3 years older then 12. He should be treated like an adult because he not only shot 1 person he shot several people. It isn't rite to shoot people either, that is just stupid. He should get sent to jail for a long time. From Tanner

  • ya i think that he should be tried as an adult. but all of that could have been prevented by haveing a metal detector when you walk in to school but why did he do that was he just mad or was hee teased his whole life

  • I think that he should be treated as an adult. He brought an illegal weapon, most likely not in his name, to school. So he violated a lot of rules and regulations. Most schools in the
United States don't allow guns at school. Killing someone is a very serious offense. Since he was not shooting for self-defense, then he broke the law. I would have given him 20-30 years in prison. After he got out, he would have to see a physciatrist for at least 1500 hours. He would be able for parol after a term of 12 years.
